Our story began in the spring of 2018 when we met at our on-campus job in the SCU Housing Office. Sophie was a sophomore and Kyle was a freshman, so she was assigned to train him for his first shift. They immediately hit it off and got along well, but Sophie wasn't looking for love because she was about to spend a semester abroad...

Sophie spends 4 months in Southeast Asia and Kyle keeps up with her travels on Instagram.

Sophie comes back to SCU in the spring and they see each other occasionally. They don't have many shifts together, but when they do, they have a ton of fun.

Kyle asks Sophie to get burritos for their first outside-of-work hangout. Sophie literally says "I'm so glad we're friends" because she is again not looking for romance. Kyle thinks "Great, she thinks we're friends!" and, luckily, does not take the hint.

They complete their internships and live their separate lives over the summer of 2019 and we fast forward to fall 2019 where Sophie is now a senior and Kyle is a junior.

The stars align and they finally have shifts together at work. They get some work done but mostly spend hours upon hours trying to make each other laugh.

Their boss sends this email from Kyle's email as a joke, but the foreshadowing here is incredible.

Kyle is super supportive as Sophie studies for the GRE and applies to grad schools. She starts to realize that maybe what she's been looking for has been right in front of her this whole time...

Kyle makes dinner with Sophie and asks her out for real. She finally says yes!

They once again get burritos, this time at Chipotle. And this time, Sophie is the one to surprise Kyle by asking him to be her boyfriend. Now it's his turn to say yes!

They go ice skating in San Jose on one of their first dates.

Things are going well, so Kyle visits Sophie & her family for New Year's in Seattle after barely a month of dating. Sometimes you just get a good feeling, ya know?

Plot twist: COVID-19 hits and all of their roommates go home! They decide to stay in California to quarantine together, staying sane by going on walks, trying new recipes, playing games and watching movies.

Another fun plot twist: Sophie finds out she got into her dream grad school program! But it's in New York City...

Kyle decides to move to New York City to join Sophie, so he requests to transfer to the NYC Accenture office once he graduates from SCU.

They take a cross-country Amtrak train from San Francisco to New York City to move Sophie into her new apartment.

Kyle sees NYC for the first time and gets to check all of the tourist attractions off his list.

Sophie moves into a studio apartment on campus and they do long distance for the school year, with Kyle coming to visit every so often.

After nine months of long distance, they are so excited to move in together on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.

They start exploring their new neighborhood and love taking long walks in Central Park.

Kyle officially graduates from SCU!

They make the most of being in NYC, seeing Broadway shows, taking Hudson River boat tours, and finding new favorite restaurants.

Sophie gets to celebrate her belated SCU graduation!

Sophie graduates with her MPH and they decide to stay in New York a little bit longer.

They take their first international trip together to England & Switzerland.

After months of fostering dogs, Sophie & Kyle officially grow their family by adopting a 6 month old rescue goldendoodle named Teddy.

They continue getting more & more comfortable living in NYC, meeting new friends, and reaching new heights (literally, pictured here 1100' above the city at the Edge observation deck)

Teddy is the one to decide on the next family member as he instantly falls in love with his sister, a mini poodle rescue named Charlie.

Just a few weeks shy of their five year anniversary, Kyle pops the question and asks Sophie to marry him at their favorite spot in Central Park.

Sophie & Kyle are so excited to celebrate their marriage at the iconic New York Botanical Garden surrounded by their favorite people. Can't wait to see you there!
